My Best Sale Buy: Kurt Geiger Carvela 'Kloud' Sandals

Seeing as I'm going on holiday next month I haven't been able to go shopping with my usual vigour - which as you can imagine has been horrible. I've only been picking up things that I really need (which sadly doesn't include MAC products) but then when I saw these and the price - I had to break the rules a bit.

Enter the 'Kloud' sandal. The £15 Kurt Geiger Carvela sandal. £15! I literally could not believe my eyes and there was literally one pair left in my size - I knew if I didn't take them then I would regret it forever. They're a fairly simple sandal with a thong toe, ankle strap and support. However as you can see on the back of the (contrast, cobalt blue) heel there are the most amazing spiked studs! And take it from me - these are sharp studs - definitely have to be careful with them!

They aren't real leather, it's all synthetic, which in all honesty is one of the reasons I never would have paid full price (£70) but for £15 plus staff discount at Topshop I could definitely deal with. I know these will be perfect for holiday and for wearing here when the weather picks itself back up again. I love them so much and they're so much more me than the studded/bejewelled offerings you see everywhere on the high street. You can still get the orange and nude version of these shoes here (full price sadly) but this colour way has sold out online.

Have you managed to pick up any great sale buys? I think this one will be hard to beat!

The Chunky Shoe Summer Edition

I literally bought these shoes two hours ago and I'm already writing a post about them. For a while now I've wanted some of the cut out chunky sandals that everyone loves, but I couldn't find the right pair - they either looked too clunky, were too uncomfortable, made my feet look giant.. etc etc. Then when I was in Primark today, I wandered in to the shoe section and saw these. As soon as I tried one on I knew I was buying them!

I think these are a better balance than other ones I've seen of chunky and girly - I was wearing black skinny jeans when I tried them on which looked nice but they're enough of a sandal to look good with shorts or a skirt too. The platform makes the heel practically non existent so I'm hoping they're going to be comfy enough to wear in the day time. They also (obviously) have no toe so I will have to step up my toe polish game...

They were a bargainous £12 as well so even if I don't get along with them brilliantly it's not too much of a loss. Oh Primark, what you do to me.

Do you like these types of shoes? Or are you part of the population that thinks they're a bit on the ugly side? Let me know!

Mini Primark Jewellery Haul

Primark is undoubtedly the Marmite of retail - people love it, people despise it. I sit in the middle somewhere, liking a lot of the products but hating the cheap feel or the missing 'edge' to a piece. However every so often they do have absolute gems that crop up, and a lot of the time this is jewellery.

Chain link necklace, £4

I got this slightly chunky chain necklace to start with as it's the kind of thing you can literally wear with any outfit! I still like wearing these kind of necklaces under collars (is everyone over that now? Can't tell if I care..) or with plainer items that just need a little bit extra.

Gold plate necklace, £4

This one isn't normally my style but I had been looking for a plain 'statement' necklace as such - something not too dramatic but definitely not a dainty little piece. I've realised lately that my style is literally black/white/grey/denim/leather. And thats it. So when I'm wearing my black high waisted jeans with a white top (yet again) I thought I could jazz things up a little bit with this. It just adds something extra to an otherwise very plain outfit.

Multi ring pack, £2.50

Excuse the missing rings on the right, I've already worn those ones! I love this little pack - its a mixture of thin/thick gold rings, and a few thick gold rings with a cutout piece in the middle. I think there's actually 12 rings overall in this pack which for £2.50 is ridiculously good. I love wearing rings as I think they really finish a look - little details like this always make such an impact. The only thing I would say is make sure to paint them with clear nail varnish to stop the gold from rubbing off as quickly, and to stop you getting green fingers!

The Pink Coat.

Is it just me or has the world gone pink coat crazy? Annoyingly I don't have the money to splurge on a new coat but nothing has stopped me searching and trying on. Mostly in an oversized boyfriend fit but in fluffy pink pastel, its the perfect girly androgynous mixture. Damn you, pink coat. You're perfect.

15 Christmas Gifts Under £15!

Seeing as my last Christmas post was 5 stocking fillers under £5, I thought I'd go the extra mile and do 15 gifts under £15 this time! All of these gifts would be great as either a more luxury stocking filler or a gift in itself. The gifts I've picked today are mainly for females (as I presume that's the majority of my readership) but I might do a sneaky little post on a gift guide for boys later on.

How Much Is My Face Worth? The Basics!

I absolutely love this tag and have wanted to do it for ages, but kept on wondering which products to include. I finally decided I would do the basics that are literally on my face everyday and maybe closer to Christmas do a 'going out' face worth tag! Onto the products..

I actually feel like I have got my everyday makeup down to quite a good amount - when you get like me and buy tonnes of makeup it's hard not to chop and change all the time, but these bits here have been staples in my make up bag for quite a while now.

You may remember I did a post about the Revlon Lash Potion and how much I wasn't in love with it.. This point is still pretty much valid but sadly the tube lasts for ages and I can't justify buying a new one at the minute when I can't really spend on makeup this month! The eyebrow pencil was a random pick up which I now love - it has a wax pencil on one end to set your brow which surprisingly works very well. And of course the concealer - the one raved about by multiple bloggers! I really have grown to like this, it's great for everyday use.

This eyeliner you also may remember from my very first post - it's my absolute favourite and have been using it since I was around 12! Perfect for pretty much any type of eyeliner you want to do - I will remain loyal forever to it! The foundation was a random pick up in Tesco oddly, when I had run out of my beloved MAC Studio Fix Foundation - and I've been using this instead ever since. Then the only two powders I use is the contouring shade from the Sleek Face Form kit and my Studio Fix powder from MAC. I love both and am very close to finishing these two!

Total = £62.14

I really don't think that's too bad a total! If I went back a year it would be a lot more expensive but when I consider that these are all of my favourite basics which I have bought time and time again, I think it's worth it. Have you ever figured out how much your face is worth?

Vogue's Fashion Night Out in Manchester!

Sorry I've been terrible with blogging again this week - when you don't live in your own house, don't have your camera and don't have a lot of internet connection it makes it difficult! However when I went along to the Vogue Fashion Night Out last night, I knew I had to share some snaps with you even if they're just off my phone.
