Top 5 from my make up bag!

Being a new make up blogger, I wanted to post something that was beauty related but not completely random - so I thought I'd let you have a sneak peek into my make up bag so you could get to know me a bit better. :) Now, I have to say I have a lot in my make up bag - so I'm just going to show you my 5 favourite pieces that without fail get used every day! I'll also pop in the prices and where I got them from in case anyone wants to know!

Also please excuse the terrible backdrop for these photos - I am sorting my house out and clearing things out and don't have a proper space to take photos, so some lovely unused wrapping paper was used for a makeshift background! Don't judge me! :P

Ted Baker for Boots wash bag, £16

This is actually my brand new makeup bag, as a certain puppy in the house decided to chew through the zip of my last make up bag *grits teeth*. (If anyone was interested, it was also a Ted Baker bag but the old pink satin bird design). I absolutely love the Ted Baker for Boots selection, it's a nice way of getting something 'high end' without having to splash out! This one is actually a wash bag as I keep a lot of makeup in my 'daily' bag so I wanted the extra space - I think the actual designated make up bag is quite a lot cheaper.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour foundation in Ivory (100), £6.99

I was sworn to MAC's Studio Fix Fluid foundation for the longest time, shelling out £20+ every month or so for a new bottle. One time, I ran out, and not close to a MAC, but needing foundation for work - ran into Tesco's and grabbed this. Enter my new favourite foundation! I personally think it is a good match for the Studio Fix foundation - it is quite thick coverage, matte finish, and even better - a great price. It's usually on offer as well if you shop around so you can pay anything as little as £4 for it. Bargain.

Sleek Blush by 3 palette in Lace, £9.99

I am a big sucker for blusher, and when I managed to find a Superdrug that sold Sleek (there isn't one near me, sob) I knew I had to have this palette! The shades at each end are matte and the middle one has a slight shimmer, all in gorgeous summer shades. I much prefer the coral/orange colourways than very pink ones so this is perfect for me. Great colour pay off, great price, wonderful packaging. Top high street brand.

Collection 2000 Fast Stroke eyeliner in Black, around £2.99

This has been my favourite eyeliner since I was about 12. Super cheap, super black, super easy to use - perfect. However now that Collection 2000 has changed to just 'Collection' - I can't find this product on the boots website! Praying this doesn't mean they are discontinuing it as I will be heart broken.

MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer in NC20, Discontinued

Another product that I am heartbroken over - my favourite ever concealer has been discontinued. If I had taken a picture of the inside you would see there is a mere scraping left! (If anyone has any concealers they know to be similar, please let me know!) I want to describe it almost as a gel - it was a very unusual consistency that gave very good, thick coverage. It was quite pricey - just under £18 - but I am a firm believer in getting what you pay for and that was definitely worth every penny.

MAC Studio Fix powder in NC15, £20.50

This is a powder I've had before, and repurchased - but I'm not really sure why. I like the powder, it does a good job of setting my foundation, and keeps my face looking matte (you'll soon see I only like matte faces!) but I'm still not 100% on it. Maybe it's the price, or the fact that for the price it can't do backflips across my table - I'm not sure! There's just something missing. However I haven't met a powder I like more so far, so in my top 5 it stays!

So they're my top 5, I hope you enjoyed reading my mini reviews on everything! I know I rambled on a bit but I'll get used to this blogging malarky soon I'm sure ;)

Keep an eye out for my next post, I'm going to post about my favourite lipsticks for summer!
